Hello friends, I, Alyssa Rose, is a new author of Young Adult and Upper Middle-Grade books. So far Binding Fate is my only novel out for purchase, please see “Purchase the Book” for more information. I write fantasy books, and as you might guess, I LOVE to read fantasy books too. I read so much that I cannot just pick one. I’ve always read multiple books simultaneously since only reading one at a time isn’t fast-paced enough for my voracious mind. I have been writing since I was inspired at age 9. My early writing was inspired by an awesome teacher I had that shared her love of creative writing, and it just stuck, and I’ve been working on my stuff ever since. You can find some things I’m currently working on in the “Upcoming Books” section. Other things I do in my spare time are knit and spend time with my husband, our daughter, and two cats. I am also a teacher, and I love taking my passion for books and transferring that energy onto my students, where I will hopefully instill in them a love of reading as well.
A few of my favorite books I’ve read of Middle-Grade and Young Adult would have to be: JK Rowling’s Harry Potter Series, Joseph Delaney’s Last Apprentice Series. I also enjoyed: A Series of Unfortunate Events by Lemony Snicket, Angie Sage’s Septimus Heap Series, Soul Render by T.L. Branson, The Dragon Orb by Mike Shelton, and Dragon School by Sarah K.L.
